 From Vancouver B.C, Canada, Alexa Berard is a versatile multi-instrumentalist and singer/songwriter. Alexa's style has a unique, experimental approach with playful elements giving her music an overall eccentric and whimsical vibe.  Her notable achievements include a sound track credit on the TV show "Virgin River", composing for diverse projects such as the Metis podcast "Beading Together" hosted by Lisa Shepherd, short films, "Pollen" directed/written by Mia Martinez, and "I Love U" directed/written by Brandon Stewart. An accomplished saxophonist, Alexa holds a music major from Kwantlen Polytechnic University, where she studied under Julia Nolan. Her prior mentorship under Juno Award-winning saxophonist Campbell Ryga. With a robust background in various bands, Alexa is frequently sought after for session work. Beyond music, Alexa has ventured into acting, gracing popular TV shows such as Deadly Class and The 100, where she portrayed a guitar-playing hippie at Woodstock and a musician in a post-apocalyptic setting. Her diverse roles include being a murder victim in a true-crime documentary, a wedding guitarist on the TV show Virgin River as well as a dancer on the Riverdale Grandstand on the final season of Riverdale. Alexa is currently residing in Australia where she acts, performs, and teaches music.
